THE Supreme Court yesterday said 9,190 Bar candidates completed the third day of the Bar exams on November 16 as Associate Justice and 2022 Bar Exams committee chairperson Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa exhorted them “to dig in your heels and prepare to sprint to make the final sprint to the finish line.”
Of the 10,006 applicants who participated in the venue selection and were assigned their respective local testing centers, only 9, 207 took and completed the exam on its first day last November 9.
On the second day last November 13, the SC said 9,196 managed to finish the exams.
With six more examinees quitting, Caguioa urged the remaining graduates to exert one more effort to complete what is arguably the most grueling licensure examination in the country today.
“When you feel like giving up, take a pause — and then discard that feeling, because after the last Bar days you just hurdled, you know in your bones you can go on,” Caguioa said.
“Quiet your minds. Still your souls. And recall why and for whom you are doing this — your families and loved ones, the people you hope to help, the schools you wish to give back to, the nation you want to serve. Maraming nagmamahal at naghihintay sa inyo (There are lots of people who love and are waiting for you), so — for them — be dauntless. Fight and stay on. Refuse to give up,” he added.
He also reminded them to continue to self-quarantine and to carefully observe the health protocols to keep themselves healthy.
