TWO Army soldiers were arrested by the police operatives in Zamboanga del Sur and North Cotabato on charges of gun-running and rape.
Arrested were Sergeant Abdulbakie Abdulhalim Abdurajak, 46 and Private Jason Onoy Bodod, 25, assigned with the 602nd Brigade and 51st Infantry Battalion, respectively.
Abdurajak was nabbed by policemen under the Soccsksargen regional police office during an entrapment operation in Carmen town in North Cotabato last Saturday.
Seized from him were an M4 Colt Carbine, more than 419 rounds of ammunition, and the P200,000 buy-bust money.
Bodod was placed under arrest after surrendering to personnel of the Piñan municipal police station in Zamboanga del Sur last Tuesday night on charges of rape.
The Zamboanga Peninsula regional police office said Bodod is the subject of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Felix Rodriguez Jr., acting presiding judge of the Dipolog City Regional Trial Court Branch 7, in February this year for rape.
