CIGNAL puts put its unbeaten streak on the line while Cabuyao looks to bounce back from a sorry loss in the Spikers’ Turf Invitational Conference today, Friday, at the Paco Arena in Manila.
The HD Spikers, with a 3-0 record, will go up against St. Gerrard Construction-Benilde (1-2) in Pool C at 5 p.m.
Expected to lead the attack anew for the HD Spikers are JP Bugaoan, Ysay Marasigan, and Jau Umandal while the Blazing Builders, coming off a sweep at the hands of Saints and Lattes-Letran, will be led by the duo of Arnel Aguilar and Mike Balbacal.
Cignal coach Dexter Clamor said the team is not taking Benilde for granted as they try to close in on a quarterfinals slot.
“Collegiate team, so I know ‘na yung collegiate team na ‘yan nagpa-practice sila every day, grabe ‘yung bonding nila so paghahandaan naming maigi,” said Clamor.
The Cabstars, with a 2-1 mark, take on Saskin-PCU Dasmarinas (0-3) at 1 p.m.
The Bayleaf Hotels-Lyceum (0-3) will try to save its campaign versus PGJC-Navy (2-1) at 3 o’clock.
