SIGNED. Sealed. Official.
Former NorthPort star Robert Bolick has formally moved to the Japan B.League after he signed with Division II team Fukushima yesterday.
“I am very grateful to be a part of the Fukushima Firebonds,” Bolick said in a statement released by the ballclub yesterday. “I am honored to be a player on this team and show my skills and abilities as I strive to reach new heights with my new family.
“I can’t wait to play in front of you,” he added.
The 6-foot-1 Bolick, whose contract with the Batang Pier expired last April and opted not to renew, reportedly agreed on a two-year pact to join the Firebonds who are raring to get a promotion to Division I.
Bolick was already in Taiwan last February to sign a contract with Taichung in T1 last March 2, but NorthPort used its 30-day matching period– the time after which he can get a letter of clearance from the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.
