President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has named former Government Service Insurance System chief Rolando Macasaet as acting president and chief executive officer of the Social Security System.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin administered the oath of office to Macasaet, a photo released yesterday by the Presidential Communications Office showed.
Macasaet, an alumnus of the University of the Philippines Diliman, previously held the position of director and general manager at Trans Aire Development Holdings Corp. and was a member of the board of directors of the Philippine Stock Exchange Inc., Manila Hotel Corp. and Philippine Crop Insurance Corp.
He was also a former vice chairman and president of the Philippine National Construction Corp. and Skyway Corp., manager for Corporate Account at Bank of Montreal, vice chairman and president of Philippine Postal Savings Bank Inc., and vice president and general manager for Los Angeles at Philippine National Bank.
