inDrive driver-partners, users double

RIDE-HAILING firm inDrive expects a steady growth in its monthly active users and driver acquisition despite stiff competition.

inDrive said since June, it recorded a 96-percent increase in driver acquisition at over 8,000 drivers and a 90 percent surge in monthly active users.

“MAUB (monthly active user base) by end of the year would be few thousands. The most important thing here is the base growth that we have seen. It means that the business model is actually alluring to both passengers and drivers,” Natalia Makarenko, inDrive marketing director for APAC, said Tuesday at the launch of the community-centered campaign “Ka-gulong, Kita Tayo!” in Quezon City.

inDrive operates in Metro Manila, Bacolod, Baguio, Iloilo, Butuan and Cagayan de Oro.
Makarenko bared plans to expand to other key areas like Cebu, Davao and Pampanga, as well as to diversify its partnership network to provide more driver and passenger benefits.
inDrive is also optimistic about the ride-hailing market’s growth in the Philippines, Makarenko said.

The country’s ride-hailing market is projected to reach $0.75 billion by 2024, with revenue expected to exhibit a growth rate of 7.16 percent annually from 2024 to 2029.
