Odette, Ogie to serenade lovers

For questions about love, the answers come from the heart. Let OPM legends Odette Quesada and Ogie Alcasid, who sang and penned some of the greatest Filipino love songs of all time, put feelings into words with timeless hits. In a very special Valentine’s celebration presented by Newport World Resorts, the seasoned songstress and “King of OPM” collaborate for “Love, Q&A” concert on February 14 and 15 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT).

Each time Quesada sings ballads, she bares her soul and emotions to listeners.  No wonder her hits “Till I Met You,” “A Friend of Mine,” “Farewell,” “A Long, Long Time Ago,” and “Don’t Know What To Do,” which helped define OPM in the ‘80s still resonate to many people today. This unwavering support was on full display during her 40th anniversary in the music industry sold-out concert in NPAT.

On the other hand, there is a reason why Alcasid bagged the “King of OPM” title. Many of his tracks could very well be the anthem for all romantic Filipinos. With relatable tracks such as “Nandito Ako,” “Kailangan Kita,” “Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang,” and “Ikaw Lamang,” there is a perfect Alcasid song for every twist and turn of someone’s life.

The two OPM stars truly make for a perfect tandem this Valentine’s season. While drawing from their respective repertoires, the show promises to be a sweet trip down memory lane, leaving audiences sighing, swooning, and singing along.
