PARTY-list organizations looking to run in the May 2025 polls have until December 29, 2023 to file their respective Manifestations of Intent to Participate, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has announced.
Comelec Resolution No. 10954 states: “The Manifestation of Intent to Participate in the party-list elections for the May 2025 National and Local Elections (NLE) may be filed until December 29, 2023 only.”
Party-list groups also have until December 29 to file their petitions for registrations.
The Comelec said the names of party-list nominees maybe submitted at a later date.
“An existing or registering party shall file a complete list of at least five nominees and their corresponding certificates of nomination and acceptance with the Law Department of the Commission within the same period designated for the filing of Certificates of Candidacy,” it said.
The Comelec has yet to set the period of filing of Certificates of Candidacy for the May 2025 polls. — Gerard Naval
