Lifetime achievement awardee

The Joint Foreign Chambers (JFC) announced presidential adviser for entrepreneurship Jose Ma. “Joey” A. Concepcion III, as the recipient of this year’s Arangkada Philippines Lifetime Achievement Award.

The awarding ceremony was held yesterday as part of the official program of the two-day virtual Arangkada Philippines Forum with the theme “Pathways to a Better Future.”

Concepcion, the eighth recipient of the award, was chosen for his invaluable contributions in promoting inclusive economic growth by advancing the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Philippines and his exemplary leadership in helping local businesses cope with and recover from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Arangkada Lifetime Achievement Award is given by the members of JFC for individuals of any nationality resident in the Philippines who have contributed significantly to improving the country’s business environment.

Coca-Cola supply chain recognized.

Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines Inc. (CCBPI) has won the prestigious 2021 Gawad Sinop Awards for Excellence in Supply Management, in recognition of its operational achievements with one of the most complex supply chains in the region. CCBPI was cited for its sustainability and clean energy initiatives, for the optimization of its sprawling operations, and for its holistic outreach and relief programs that utilize the strengths of its extensive supply chain.

Outgoing CCBPI logistics director Ruth Genota also earned the Supply Management Professional of the Year award for her leadership contributions, particularly to CCBPI’s extensive logistics operations. CCBPI operates one of the biggest truck fleets in the country, with almost 3,000 trucks and over 2,000 sales service vehicles. Approximately 2,500 shipments per day are undertaken, transporting to 20,000 doors across the country.

Genota has since assumed the role of the Global Logistics Excellence director for Bottling Investments Group, CCBPI’s mother company.

PANAta Awards set for Dec. 8

PANAta Awards 2021 whose theme Hilaraya once again puts the spotlight on brand builders and the advertising community as they come together for the Awards Night on December 8 to reveal and honor the winners of the most effective and creative marketing communication campaigns in the country.

To be proclaimed are the winners of the People’s Choice Awards who exemplify creativity despite the challenges. This year’s People’s Choice winners for Excellence in Brand Positioning are Procter and Gamble’s Downy Bye Bye Bahayrus (Gold), Nestle Philippines and Dentsu Jayme Syfu Inc.’s Bangon Sulong (Silver) and BDO Network Bank and Vitalstrats Creative Solutions, Co.’s Ang Inyong BDO sa Bayan (Bronze).

The awards night will go live at 7:15 p.m. via PANA’s Facebook page and YouTube official channel.

DHL Express extends partnership with Pag-IBIG

DHL Express has continued its partnership with Pag-IBIG to provide customers in the Philippines with discounted shipping rates.

Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card members will be given an automatic 10 percent discount on published rates for both document and non-document international shipments when they present their cards at all participating DHL Express-owned service points and WExpress branches nationwide till March 31, 2024.

The partnership benefits a total of 8.1 million Pag-IBIG Loyalty cardholders nationwide and is also extended to their family members upon providing proof of relationship.

Atome appointment

Asia’s leading buy now pay later brandannounced the appointment of EJ dela Vega to lead its operations in the Philippines following the entry of Atome into the market earlier in October.

Dela Vega has over 10 years of experience in tech startups, payment and telco operations, with a track record in building teams and scaling businesses, marketing and payments, both locally and internationally.
