Netizens think Leviste was “friend zoned” after Kris clarified that he was her “best male friend.”
KRIS AQUINO
Is there a new man in Kris Aquino’s life?
The former host and actress, now in the US getting medical treatments for her health, delighted a lot of fans with her recent posts on social media.
She posted, “distance is just a test to see how far love can travel,” and talked about finding a temporary home for her and sons Bimby and Joshua while she is still undergoing treatments. Valentine’s being her birthday, she also thanked her supporters and those who continue to pray for her and her healing.
She also mentioned getting invaluable support from family and friends.
“I have a wonderful support system from my 2 sons, Alvin, Rochelle, Ate Rome, old friends & new friends here in the [US flag]…but you need to be a very determined man of your word to fly 13 hours each way to spend a few days with me on my birthday,” she wrote.
“For his effort I am GRATEFUL,” she added.
Netizens inferred as to who the man she referred to in her post, and soon enough, the man was identified as politician Mark Leviste, who posted his photo with Kris in his Instagram account.
“Made it just in time for your birthday and Valentine’s Day [pink hearts emoji] It may have taken more than 7k miles to be with you, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Although we have been apart, now that we’re together fills my heart. [pink heart with yellow star emoji] it is for this reason my love and my dear you will always and forever feel near,” he wrote. “Happy Birthday to you and Happy Valentine’s Day to us @krisaquino!”
There was rejoicing from some netizens and friends in the comment section on Leviste’s Instagram account. Neil Arce, Neri Miranda, Kim Atienza were among those who were overjoyed by the post. However, Kris wrote a clarification on the comment section.
“May we clarify – together physically in the same place…I appreciate al your effort (through the years) BUT please clarify that we agreed the best foundation for any & all relationships is FRIENDSHIP. I know iu state with 1000% accuracy, you’re my best make friend.”
Some netizens were quick to conclude that the Batangas vice governor was “friendzoned” by Kris. Many even advised the former actress-host to focus on her healing, while some wanted her to open her heart to a new love.
Well, if Mark wants to continue paying court of Kris, he also has to woo her sons, Joshua and Bimby. We all know how much Kris loves her boys, so any man who wishes to be a part of their family needs to have her sons’ approval.
But whether the friendship turns into romance, we continue to hope and pray for Kris’ healthy mind, body and heart.
