AFTER completing an elimination sweep, Ateneo tests the resolve of San Beda University today in the quarterfinals of the V-League Women’s Collegiate Challenge at the Paco Arena.
The Blue Eagles and the Lady Red Spikers collide at 5 p.m. in a knockout match.
The Katipunan-based squad topped Pool A with a 3-0 mark capped by a 25-21, 25-23, 19-25, 25-27, 16-14 triumph over Adamson University last Friday.
Far Eastern University faces University of the Philippines at 3 p.m. in the other tiff in women’s play.
“We’ll still work hard and kailangan namin ng cohesiveness, kailangan namin ito,” Ateneo coach Oliver Almadro said.
“Kailangan namin itong tournament na ganito na we really have to find a way sa kung anong mayroon kami,” he added.
Faith Nisperors, Vanie Gandler, Sofia Ildefonso, Lyann De Guzman, Yvana Sulit, Takako Fujimoto, and Roma Doromal are expected to show the way for the Blue Eagles.
