About $30 million (around P1.5 billion) in combined revenues are expected by the 9 Philippine-based companies for business leads they generated at the recently-concluded Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) annual conference and exhibition in Orlando, Florida.
The Board of Investments yesterday said the nine firms had 300 sales leads with about 30 of the potential clients considered tier-one or “hot” leads with near certain prospects of conducting business with the Philippines.
They are Visaya KPO, DynaQuest Technology Services Inc., Connext Global Solutions, HYBrain Development Corp., ADEC Innovations, Inspiro, Advanced World Solutions, Pointwest Innovations Corp. and Phoenix Virtual Solutions.
Considered the most promising sub-sector of the information technology-business process management in the country, HIMS employs almost 200,000.
In 2019, the sector generated $2.96 billion in revenue and provided jobs to over 143,000 individuals.
Revenues are projected to grow by 7.3 to 10.8 percent in 2022.
