Actress Kathryn Bernardo and her mother, Min, are now part of the roster of AIA Philippines ambassadors.
Kathryn and Min Bernardo were officially introduced to the public through a reveal in the company’s social media assets, giving AIA followers a first peek into Kathryn and Min’s vlog.
The video showcased a touching moment as Kathryn and Min visited a local ube halaya vendor. Here, Min fondly reminisced about her pregnancy with Kathryn, revealing a surprising connection between the purple yam delicacy and her daughter’s complexion. “Not sure if you knew this,” Min shared, “but the reason Kath has such beautiful skin is because I craved ube while I was pregnant with her!”
The vlog also depicted their tradition of visiting the local bookstore after school. Kathryn would often ask her mother to buy her small trinkets, a simple yet meaningful expression of love between mother and child.
What adds another layer of significance to their association with AIA Philippines is Min’s own history with the company. She was once a financial advisor based in Cabanatuan, a career choice she embraced after a life-changing event inspired her to prioritize her family’s protection through life insurance. Reflecting on this experience, Min shared, “Out of that bad experience came something good. I immediately got life insurance. It eventually became a career. I not only excelled within our branch but also helped others understand the importance of life insurance.” This personal journey transformed Min into an advocate for life insurance, offering a secure future for families, a role she continues to embrace.
Min’s short-lived career with AIA Philippines allowed her to better contribute to the family, and help her clients become worry-free with the protection products she was able to offer them. In her one year as an advisor, she became a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), a select group of financial advisors who are considered at the top of their field. Unfortunately, she could no longer continue after a few years, with Kathryn’s career starting to flourish in Manila.
Kathryn and Min Bernardo are examples of how AIA Philippines has been instrumental in helping families save lives and protect dreams, despite untoward life events. This is why Kathryn and Min can convincingly illustrate how AIA Philippines can make a difference in the lives of Filipinos.
Kelvin Ang, CEO of AIA Philippines, expressed the company’s excitement over welcoming Kathryn and Min Bernardo to the AIA family. He emphasized the importance of life insurance as an expression of love for one’s family, a sentiment that both Kathryn and Min deeply understand and appreciate. Their unique perspective aligns perfectly with AIA Philippines’ mission of “racing against risk” to protect every Filipino family and empower them to lead healthier, longer, and better lives.
Kathryn and Min Bernardo are now part of AIA Philippines ambassadors in the Philippines, that includes Gary Valenciano, Wil Dasovich, Nico Bolzico and Solenn Heussaff.
