Although obviously very excited, actor-politician Bong Revilla chooses to keep mum about the possibility of starring with fellow Senators Robin Padilla and Lito Lapid with actor-director Coco Martin in big-budget action movie after a photo showing the four of them went viral on social media.
This early, the project is being bruited about as a possible entry in the next Metro Manila Film Festival. Still, Senator Bong refuses to confirm anything.
“Basta antayin na lang natin, baka pre-empt or hindi matuloy ‘di ba?” he said at a meeting with the entertainment press on Wednesday at Victorino’s in Quezon City.
Bong said he is planning to make two movies this year, but in the meantime is very much busy with his Sunday sitcom, “Walang Matigas Na Pulis sa Matinik Na Miss,” which is now on its second season.
In fact, Revilla and the rest of the cast, including Max Collins, Nino Muhlach, Carmi Martin, Mae Bautista, and Beauty Gonzalez kicked off the new season with a grand motorcade from Taguig to Laguna.
Revilla acknowledged the need to intensify the promotion of the show, because aside from “Walang Matinik” being one of the biggest-budget programs on GMA and having a lot of surprises in its new season, television has a new rival in digital media, and he hopes more viewers will get to enjoy the misadventures of Tolome.
“Kailangan mag promote kasi ang kalaban ngayon ng TV is online so kailangan na ipaalam ulit sa tao na nandiyan pa rin ang GMA ‘di ba? Nandyan pa rin ang telebisyon,” he reiterated.
He said for the first episode alone, there was a massive scene involving four cars. “Nagpapasalamat ako sa GMA sa all-out support nila. Pinakita naman talaga na dito sa episode one ng season two, talagang punong- puno ng aksyon. In fact, akala mo usually nilalagay na ‘yung malaking eksena sa first part ng episodes, but no, dito sa atin towards the end doon ‘yung malaking eksena kaya dapat panoorin.
“Hindi lang siya pang TV, pelikulang-pelikula ang pagkagawa sa kanya,” Revilla added.
The second season two of “Walang Matigas Na Pulis sa Matinik Na Misis” will feature more explosive scenes, he said, plus big-name stars, including beauty queen Celeste Cortesi.
“Basta patindi nang patindi, pasaya nang pasaya. Makikita niyo ‘yung parang naglalaro na lang kami, ganun dahil alam na ang galaw ng bawat isa, even ‘yung sa flow ng story maganda at hindi siya predictable. Basta dapat panoorin niyo,” said Senator Bong.
