RICHARD Gutierrez is in Italy to shoot spectacular action sequences for his blockbuster primetime action-drama series, “The Iron Heart.” He’s with co-stars Albert Martinez, Ian Veneracion and Jake Cuenca, who play the primary villains in the story.
“The Iron Heart” is extended for a third season as the show is not only rating very high but is also full of advertising load.
The climax of Keanu Reeves’ hit “John Wick 4” had its big action scenes shot in Paris, around Arc de Triomphe and at the Sacre Coeur. Maybe that is what Richard wants to duplicate, by shooting key action scenes of “The Iron Heart” at the equally busy city of Rome.
“Marami kaming pasabog na eksena,” says Richard. “We are doing everything to make the action scenes in Rome truly memorable for our viewers. I promise we will not disappoint them.”
He has to come back right away to be part of the Kapamilya Kalayaan Karavan for TFC in its Independence Day celebrations. He will do shows at Dubai, the United Arab Emirates on June 10 with his “The Iron Heart” leading ladies, Sue Ramirez and Sofia Andres. Then on June 17, he will be going to London for the Kapamilya Kalayaan Karavan in North Yorkshire.
From there, he flies to Madrid, Spain for another TFC event. He is bringing his wife, Sarah Lahbati, along in his European journey. Happy trip and safe travels to Richard and company.

‘But in “Hilom,” I help in healing him after someone broke his heart – Christine Bermas’
Christine Bermas and Arron Villaflor are paired anew in the Vivamax drama about heartbreak and healing, “Hilom.”
“We first got to work together in ‘Night Bird’, where I was raped by Arron’s gang,” says Christine. “Martial arts expert ako so I fought them, kaya napatay ko si Arron. But in ‘Hilom,’ I help in healing him after someone broke his heart.”
“This is the most dramatically demanding role I played since I joined Viva and I’m happy they give me good projects,” says Arron. “I play Sam, an achiever who is very organized. But I got the shock of my life when my girlfriend of ten years, played by Julia Victoria, suddenly dumps me just when I am about to propose marriage to her.”
He gets depressed and goes to a beach resort to forget his troubles. There, he meets a woman named Sammy, played by Christine, an aspiring food vlogger. “She’s cheerful and carefree, the opposite of me who’s depressed and even think of ending my life,” says Arron. “At first, hindi kami magkasundo but eventually, we discover we have a lot of experiences in common and she helps me realize that despite our heartaches, life goes on.”
Aaron really made a good decision when he moved to Viva as he is now never without an assignment. And he has totally forsaken the wholesome image as he now willingly sheds off his clothes. He has no qualms about baring his body but he just have to be more diligent in working out as his waistline is getting thicker and he now has some unwanted rolls of fat around his mid-section.

We first met Jessica Soho in “Brigada Siete” which was originally hosted by the late Louie Beltran, her journalism mentor in UP. We really admire her work, specially when she did the documentaries “Kamao” about boxing and “Kidneys for Sale” that eventually won the prestigious Peabody Award.
And now, after almost four decades with GMA, she is certainly one of the most respected names in broadcast journalism who has won all available awards locally. And her “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” remains to be a toprating show every Sunday.
Jessica proudly remains a Kapuso as she renewed her contract with GMA on May 31. Jessica gave the Philippines its first-ever George Foster Peabody award in 1999 and earned another Peabody win in 2014. But despite her success, she remains humble and very nice every time we’d see her. GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon stresses her value to the network.
“Jessica Soho is a face of GMA Network, isang matibay na institusyon ng GMA News at isang nirerespetong haligi ng award-winning team ng GMA Public Affairs,” says Atty. Gozon. “Ang ‘Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho’ ay patuloy na number 1 sa viewers at humahakot ng karangalan sa loob at labas ng bansa. Kaya naman, ako at ang buong GMA Network ay nagagalak na nananatili siyang Kapuso.”
Jessica’s heart is full of gratitude as she remains a loyal Kapuso. “Thank you very much. Walang hanggang pasasalamat,” she says to the network that has been her home since 1985. “GMA has been my home for the past 38 years and counting. Kung walang GMA, walang Jessica Soho. Ganun lang ‘yun kasimple.”
