Empowering MSMEs to achieve their dreams, success

Entrepreneurship is booming in the Philippines. With better conditions for foreign investors and a rise in the country’s ease of doing business index, starting a business has become a real possibility. This is reflected in the growth of small cafes, online stores, and many MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises) nationwide.

Financial services company Cebuana Lhuillier is leading this change, committed to helping Filipinos turn their business dreams into reality. Their KaNegosyo Center is a key part of this effort, providing support through its Simula and Paglago programs.

The KaNegosyo Center offers essential coaching to help entrepreneurs overcome business challenges. Richard La Torre, a beneficiary of the center, runs a remittance business and struggled with funding. With the center’s support, he was able to overcome this hurdle through flexible loans and coaching.

La Torre noted, “I initially lacked funds for my business, but the support I received helped me grow. The installment payments were manageable, allowing me to invest in my business.”

He also expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m thankful for the help and support from Cebuana Lhuillier. I hope this support continues for others who want to succeed.”

Jean Henri Lhuillier, the company’s president and chief executive officer, underscored the organization’s mission. “We’re dedicated to helping Filipinos bring their business ideas to life. The KaNegosyo Center provides more than financial support; it offers guidance that makes a real difference.”
